Cristiano Ronaldo's plane crashes in Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo prepares for a monster repair bill after the incident on Monday evening.

Eyewitnesses report that the plane's landing gear broke on impact with the runway, forcing emergency services into action.

One of the runways at El Prat was closed for a short period of time after the incident, in which nobody was hurt but the pilot was attended to for very minor injuries.

Ronaldo bought the Gulfstream G200 last year for some £15million, and sometimes leases his plane out for private clients.

Sources close to the Ballon d'Or favourite told MirrorFootball: "The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them.

Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane,

the incident had no major consequences.

Train crashes into New Jersey station, "One dead and dozens injured".

At least one person has been killed and dozens more are injured after a train crashed into a station in New Jersey.

More than 100 people were believed to have been hurt when the crowded commuter train smashed into the Hoboken station during morning rush hour.

People pulled concrete off bleeding victims and passengers kicked out windows to escape after the train ground to a halt in a covered waiting area.

Kim Kardashian Attacked in Paris

Kim Kardashian West stepped out in Paris, France, on Wednesday, a 27-year-old man identified as , Vitalii Sediuk from Boryspil, Ukraine, who attempted to attack the reality star from behind.

While Kim just exited a black car and making her way into L'Avenue restaurant, Vitalii lunged at her.

Kim's security guard, Pascal Duvier was able to quickly grab hold of the attacker before he was able to lay hands on her.

Speaking of this, this isn't the first time Vitalii has attempted this, he attempted a similar attack in the French capital two years ago. During that incident, Vitalii was actually able to tackle Kim by grabbing onto her legs, almost pulling her to the ground.

Vitalii is notorious for pulling these types of stunts at film premieres and awards ceremonies, he's previously targeted Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Will Smith. Just last week, he went after Gigi Hadid in Milan, Italy, as she was on her way to an event for Milan Fashion Week.

Herd of cows eat themselves to death

Half of a herd of cows ate to death after breaking out from their pen in Western France.

Farmer Anthony Vaillant failed to lock the door of a barn, which gave way for 46 cows to leave the barn.

The cows made their way to a food store at the farm near the town of Couëron, where whole of their winter rations was kept.

They ate a high energy supplement food which can be harmful if consumed in large quantities, and the cows proceeded to eat their way through an entire winter's worth of the food in one sitting. 

“It's like an overdose,” Mr Vaillant told local newspaper Ouest-France.

“If they are eaten in too big a quantity, these cereals stop the digestive rumen function of the cows. And when the stomach does not work the cow becomes intoxicated.”

Mr Vaillant then had to helplessly watch as his herd began to die, despite enlisting help from a vet. In total, 22 cows died from over-eating. The remaining 24 animals can no longer produce milk.

Angry youths cut off the hand of a thief while trying to steal Plasma TV

An unlucky thief who tried to steal a Plasma TV at a football viewing center in Uyo metropolis, Akwa Ibom State, will live the rest of his life with one hand as his right wrist was cut off by the angry youths who caught him in the act.

The criminal, according to eyewitnesses, had gone to the viewing center located at Ibiam Street around 5am and was about removing the television when someone spotted him and raised an alarm.

A crowd of youths chase and caught him as he was about jumping over an adjoining gate and beat him mercilessly.

He was lucky there was a patrolling police team who saved him but not before having his wrist amputated by the angry group of youths.

Housemaid beheaded over murder of employer's child

The Saudi Arabian government has executed an Ethiopian housemaid for the murder of her employer's daughter which occurred three years ago after being convicted.

In a statement issued by the Interior Ministry on Monday, September 26, the ministry noted that execution was carried out following an endorsement of the death sentence by the king.

The convict reportedly confessed to stabbing her six-year-old ward to death in June 2013 in an alleged retaliation for the ill-treatment she suffered at the hands of her employers.

Saudi Arabia is reported to have imposed the death penalty for murder, armed robbery, banditry, rape, drug-trafficking and witchcraft.

Boko Haram attacked village near Chibok

Armed gunmen are suspected to be members of Boko Haram attacked Kuburvwa Village‎ which is just 10 km from Chibok Town.

According to Premium Times, an official of the Borno state vigilante Group, Abbas Gava, who confirmed the attack, said suspected sect members stormed the village at about 6.30 p.m yesterday, shooting sporadically into the air.

Girl dies from meningitis after mistaking deadly disease for hangover symptoms

A heartbroken mother has described how her daughter died from meningitis after she mistook it for a hangover.

Her daughter Jennifer Gray felt sick and suffered a mild headache after a night out with friends.

Just 24 hours later, she was in a coma after being taken to hospital by her worried dad Jamie.

after Jennifer died her parents were told she had bacterial meningitis, now her mum Edwina, 52, wants to educate young people about the disease’s symptoms.

She told the Daily Record: ‘Meningitis struck my family. It came for us like a bolt from the blue.

‘It is the worst possible thing to happen to someone who has an only child.

‘Now I’ll never be a gran. I selfishly think about that. I’ll never see her married. Maybe she was never going to be married because we didn’t get to see what the future held.

‘That opportunity is gone.’

Jennifer was in her third year at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) in Paisley studying forensic science.

In early April, she suffered from a persistent cold with a sore throat and a cough, but she was still attending classes.

On April 15 Jennifer was out with friends when she began to feel unwell and left for home.

The following morning, she still felt sick and had a headache, sore joints and nausea.

But Jennifer and her parents assumed she had a bug or a hangover.

It was only after her symptoms worsened on Sunday, April 17, she contacted NHS 24 and was told to go to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital.

But despite frantic efforts to save her, her condition rapidly deteriorated and soon she was declared brain dead.

Edwina, an occupational therapist, said: ‘Her symptoms were atypical. She didn’t have a rash. When she phoned NHS 24, that was one of the things they were asking her.

‘Even when Jamie took her to the out-of-hours GP, the doctor thought she had the flu.’

Edwina said she was stunned when she saw her daughter in the hospital an hour later.

She revealed: ‘I was shocked by the condition she was in. She looked horrendous. Within that hour since I last saw her, there was a rapid increase in symptoms.

‘The hospital said they hadn’t seen the illness move as fast as with Jennifer. She came in with vague symptoms and within hours, she was dead.’

Edwina said she was always aware of the threat of meningitis while Jennifer was growing up.

She continued: ‘When your kid is small and they’re unwell, that is one of the first things you think of.

‘But as a 21-year-old woman, who just seemed to have a hangover, it wasn’t something we thought about. I thought, ‘She’ll be OK’. But it was the opposite. It was a nightmare.’

After her death, Jennifer’s organs saved five people – even though Edwina and Jamie weren’t aware she was on the donor list.

She was also awarded a posthumous degree from UWS.

video shows woman stabbed 22 times by jilted lover in public and nobody came to her rescue

A 21-year old woman was stabbed 22 times by her jilted lover on Tuesday morning in full public view in Burari, north Delhi, India at 9am by the accused, named Surender Singh, 34, who was known to her. No one came to her rescue," Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Madhur Verma told reporters.
Security video footage shows the assailant running after the woman and stabbing her, and as she fell to the ground, he continued stabbing her as passers-by walked past while others watched in fear.
One Passer-by tried to intervene but was threatened by the monstrous assailant who pointed the knife he was holding at him.

When it seemed like she was unconscious, he flipped her to the other side and continued stabbing her. At one point he kicked her in the head after trying to choke her.

The woman was identified as Karuna, a teacher, she was brought dead at Sushruta Trauma Centre in ISBT.

He was later chased by the public and beaten up and handed over to police. The assailant had been troubling the woman since a year or so. The family had lodged a complaint four-five months back and both the families had reached a compromise. The suspect's divorce case was ongoing.  

There were 22 stab wounds on the deceased's body," the officer added.

Man jailed for shining powerful torch at RAF jets flying over his home

A man has been jailed for 18 months for endangering aircraft after shining a powerful torch at RAF jets flying training missions over his island home.

John Arthur Jones, a former council housing director, was upset by the constant movement of jets over his land in, so he decided to take powerful torch aiming at jets that flew over his place. The lights were dangerously distracting for pilots of Hawk who trained for combat at that area had to abort landing.

Jailing him at Mold crown court, the judge said: “You possess an abundance of self-belief in your own ability to achieve things, which transcends all reason and which is born out of profound arrogance. The consequences could have been devastating. Your conduct became a campaign over a long period of time.”

Jones, 66, denied 13 charges of endangering aircraft between November 2013 and September 2014 but a jury found him guilty. 

Instructors and pilots told the court how a sudden flash of light in the cockpit could be disastrous. The jury heard they were being trained at Mona airfield on the island for “touch and go” landings in readiness for conflict.

That could lead to a dangerous situation where a disorientated pilot might not believe his instruments and could lead to a crash, the court heard.

The RAF alerted the police. On one occasion a police helicopter was launched and a night vision camera caught a person on the veranda at Jones’s home with a light. Undercover officers were sent in and caught him shining a light at a jet.

Philpotts told the court Jones was so annoyed that he threatened at one point to fly a weather balloon above his land to obstruct the jets but did not carry out the idea. “It is the prosecution case that he became obsessed with the activity of the aircraft,” Philpotts added.

Jones had denied that he had a vendetta against the RAF because the jet noise had destroyed his plans to build luxury holiday lodges. But the judge said he believed he had blamed the RAF for blighting his business scheme.

"Video" Syrian rebel accidentally blows himself & comrades up by taking a selfie with a phone bomb detonator

In the vibe bellow shows a horrific moment when a Syrian rebel accidentally blows himself and fellow freedom fighters up by attempting to take a selfie with a mobile phone rigged to an explosive.
Although the Footage has not been verified, it shows a group of eight men, believed to be members of the Free Syrian Army, gathered around a camera. Sitting in front of a rebel flag and flanked by rifles, they sing into a microphone and appear to be filming a propaganda video. One of the rebels is then seen holding a mobile phone up in front of his face to take a selfie of the group, but as he hits the button, it triggers an explosion.

They can be heard shouting as the explosion displace the camera but it is not clear if anyone was killed or injured in the blast.

Trump acknowledges Obama was born in US

Donald Trump has finally acknowledged the fact that President Barack Obama was born in the United States.
Trump said at a campaign event in Washington “President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period."

Mr Trump also accused Hillary Clinton's team of starting the so-called "birther" campaign in 2008.

The "birther" movement had questioned Obama's citizenship and therefore his eligibility as president.

Mrs Clinton said Mr Trump had founded his campaign on "this outrageous lie".

Money laundering: Four companies linked to Patience Jonathan's $15million plead guilty

The Four companies involved in laundering case, linked to former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, pleaded guilty before Justice Babs Kuewumi of a Federal High Court in Lagos today.

Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Limited.

Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited.

Police shoot dead 13-year-old boy (Tamir) in Ohio!

Police in Ohio shot dead a 13-year-old boy who they said brandished a firearm which turned out to be a BB gun .

Teenager Tyree King was taken to hospital in Columbus where he died just after 8pm on Wednesday evening.

Police were responding to a call about an armed robbery in Columbus involving multiple suspects.

They said when they arrived on the scene, the victim told them that they had been approached by a group of people wanting money and one of them had a gun.

Police officers found three men matching the suspects’ description, two of whom fled on foot.

“Officers followed the males to the alley ... and attempted to take them into custody when one suspect pulled a gun from his waistband,” police said in a statement, as reported by the Associated Press.

“One officer shot and struck the suspect multiple times.” Police said what they thought was a gun being drawn from the child's waistband was actually a BB gun - a type of air gun that shoots steel pellets - with an attached laser sight.

None of the officers was injured. Officers spoke with one of the male suspects who was with King. They interviewed him and released him pending further investigation. He was not injured.

The Columbus police division said, as with all police-related shootings, the officers will receive “mandated psychological support counselling and will have the chance to “take leave time to assist in recovery from a traumatic experience”.

NBC reported that the officer who fired the gun worked for the force for nine years and had only recently been transferred to that neighbourhood.

As reported by WBNS-TV, police said they spoke with witnesses to the robbery and the shooting, and were still searching for the third suspect.

The shooting is still under investigation. The killing comes almost two years after police in Cleveland, Ohio, shot dead 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was holding a pellet gun.

Police shot him within seconds of arriving on the scene. His death sparked protests across the country. The two officers involved were not indicted last December and Tamir's family received $6 million in a civil rights lawsuit settlement in April.
