Teacher faces prison for classroom romp with teen pupil after seducing him on Snapchat

Brunette Amelia Tat, 27, faces up to 20 years behind bars after the illegal relationship with her pupil aged between 13 and 15.

She first made contact with the youngster outside of school by contacting him on Instagram and Snapchat and asking personal questions.

She then asked the boy to “stay late and help her after class” before the pair had sex.

The disgraced teacher continued to text the youngster, before they romped again at Tat”s flat in Lynchburg, Virginia, after she picked him up from a baseball game.

But the pair were caught out after the victim”s mum found messages from Tat on his phone and discovered “something going on”, prosecutor Darby Lowe said.

She had been working as a science teacher at the teen”s school when the relationship happened in 2015.

By the time the teen boy”s mum went to police she had moved to another school.

She was charged with three counts of carnal knowledge — sexual intercourse — with a minor and one of taking indecent liberties with a child.

During a plea deal at Albemarle Circuit Court on Friday Tat admitted two counts of carnal knowledge.

She could be jailed for 10 years on each count and fined $200,000 (£160,000) when sentenced in May.

Full text of Donald Trump's official statement defending his Executive order against the 7 countries banned

US President Donald Trump earlier defended his executive order banning citizens of 7 countries from entering the United States. read here. He said his policy is similar to the one Barack Obama did in 2011. Read the full text of his statement regarding the order after the cut.

Statement Regarding Recent Executive Order Concerning Extreme Vetting
“America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave.
We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say. My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months. The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror. To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.
This is not about religion - this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.
I have tremendous feeling for the people involved in this horrific humanitarian crisis in Syria. My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering.”

Russia Is Hoping to Freeze Ukraine Into Submission

Critical gas shortage and bitter winter cause former Soviet Republic to turn to Mother Russia for warmth

During the heady days of the Soviet economy, Ukraine consumed 120 billion cubic meters of natural gas yearly. Back then, the Ukrainian economy, although clumsy and energy ineffective, was in some industries on par with Germany’s.

A quarter-century later, Ukraine needs a quarter as much natural gas—about 30 billion cubic meters a year—and not because her economy stopped being energy inefficient, but because its industrial potential is all but destroyed.

The bitter reality is that Ukraine can produce only around 18 billion cubic meters of natural gas on its territory—the rest is imported.
