Messi Believes These Five Barca Stars Aren't Good Enough

Lionel Messi is yet to extend his contract at FC Barcelona, but reportedly has some conditions, including a revamp of the squad, with these five stars not being considered good enough by the Argentine.

The 29-year-old was the hero in the latest El Clasico, during which his two goals helped the Blaugrana to a crucial win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Thanks to those important three points, Barcelona have leapfrogged Real at the top of La Liga, and Messi once again proved his importance to the club.

With Barca seemingly still very dependent on his performances, the superstars holds all the aces in his contract negotiations.

One important condition from Messi's point of view is reportedly a revamp of the Catalan giants' squad. He expects a few big hitters to arrive at the Camp Nou, while up to five players are apparently not considered good enough by him.

Diario Gol have claimed that Messi wants Jeremy Mathieu, Andre Gomes and Arda Turan to be shown the exit door, while Paco Alcacer and Aleix Vidal also have also failed convince him that they are Barca material.

Messi has scored 47 goals and assisted another 17 strikes in 46 appearances this season, but could not prevent his side from being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League.
