Nigeria's Onye Lauritta wins Gold in the Women's Shot Put F-40

Nigeria has grabbed another gold medal at the ongoing Rio Paralympics games in Brazil.

Lauritta Onye secured Nigeria's seventh gold medal at the ongoing Rio games after winning Gold in the shot put F-40. Onye's first throw of 7.83m saw her break her world record of 7.72m.

Her second and third throw landed at 7.54m and 7.64m respectively. However, her fourth throw of 8.40m secured the Gold Medal

Nigeria's Paul Kehinde has broken the world record with a 220 kg lift in the men's 65 kg category in power-lifting. Kehinde’s win is Nigeria’s second gold medal at the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympics.

Powerlifter Lucy Ejike wins Nigeria's third GOLD medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympics

This is absolutely wonderful Nigeria is soaring higher!, A new World Record has been set in the women's -61kg powerlifting class and this was done by Nigeria's very own, Lucy Ogechukwu Ejike, with a 142 kg lift. This makes it Nigeria's third GOLD medal at the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympics. Well done.
