Reekado Banks’ Album is here (SPOTLIGHT)

Reekado Banks’ “Spotlight” finds its way up to number one on the iTunes World Music Chart.
The singer released the album today September 1, 2016 , after hosting industry stakeholders to the album listening yesterday August 31, 2016 inVictoria Island, Lagos.


The Mavin artist released Spotlight following his album listening party at the Hard Rock Cafe last night. The 21 track album features Patoranking, Falz, D’Prince, Kenny Blaq, Vanessa Mdee and Sarkodie.

The album was produced by Altims, Babyfresh and also the Don himself Don Jazzy for Mavin Records. Spotlight is available on iTunes and Apple Music. Get it here.



Mavin Boss Don Jazzy revealed the development via his Instagram page – “Reekaddicts don’t play, Spotlight already number one on iTunes World Music Chart. Thanks guys Mavin”.
Reekado’s “Spotlight” sits pretty at number one, closely followed by Reminisce’s “El-Hadj”.
The album produced by the Mavin in-house producers Altims and Baby Fresh features acts like Banky W, Sean Tizzle, DJ Cuppy, DJ Spinall, Jay Jay Okocha, Dr Sid, Korede Bello, D’Prince, Vanessa Mdee, and has been dubbed "the best album you'll hear in the next 10 years or have heard in the last decade" by Banks.

Kylie Jenner defends Tyga after his Ferrari is 'repossessed' while they're out shopping for new car

Kylie Jenner has leapt to the defence of boyfriend Tyga after it was reported the rapper had faced a fresh financial blow.

On Wednesday, it was claimed the 26-year-old's Ferrari was repossessed while he and girlfriend Kylie were at a Bentley dealership in Calabasas, California.

The dad of one reportedly missed a number of payments on the car's lease and a repo man with a spare key took it while the pair were shopping for yet another luxury vehicle, leaving them to catch a ride from pals.

But taking to Twitter on Wednesday evening, Kylie said she's not bothered by the rumours anymore.

A fan referenced the TMZ story, to which Kylie replied: "They always try and come for my baby. I'm over it!!!"

Leonardo DiCaprio urged to repay donations to Malaysian rainforest fund

Environmentalist and Actor Leonardo DiCaprio is being urged to repay donations connected to the Malaysian fund that backed his hit film The Wolf of Wall Street and is now subject to a US justice department investigation and asset seizure effort.

The calls come from the Bruno Manser Funds, a Swiss-based charity focused on protecting the Malaysian rainforest. In an open letter to the actor, it accused the star of “double standards” for accepting donations linked to an international money laundering scandal.
The charity claims that whilst DiCaprio has been engaged in an effort to protect the last remaining tracts of rainforest in Sumatra, the scandal plagued 1MDB fund, which participated in a fundraising Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation auction at Christie’s in 2013, is connected to Malaysian deforestation less than 500 miles away.
